As opposed to many other international rockers, the artists from the archipelago sing in near-perfect english, except when they choose to sing in their mother tongue, which carries with it its own power. “Anti-Gandga,” a song rallying against drug use, and “Jeritan Cinta,” an aching, psychy wailer, both in Indonesian, get an unnameable forcefulness from the directness of the language."
